Katie the Critic

I know I say this allot but this is absolutely the MOST amazing movie ever! My best friend Taylor has been telling me about this movie and how great it is forever. We watched it as a young women activity and no kidding everyone fell in love with it.
The movie is about this guy, Rick, who plays rugby. His dad and him haven't been on the same page allot lately which is extra hard because he is also his coach. When Rick gets into some trouble he is sent to juvenile detention. While there he has to play for the Highland rugby team, who are the enemies to his team. Before nationals he is released back to his parents and has to decide which team to play with.
I know this sounds like another one of those sports movies but believe me! This is extremely good. Just in case I haven't persuaded you to see the movie yet here is a picture of the main character :)

Now how could you not want to see this?! :)
Cool fact: My uncle actually played against Highland Rugby team when he was in high school!! How cool is that!

Thanks!

While I was at girls camp I got a package from my wonderful Aunt Emily! A while back she had a post that if you were one of the first five to comment she would send you a home made gift. I was supposed to repost it but I wanted to wait till I had nothing else to post..but then I forgot and now I feel really bad. So if you are one of the first 5 to comment on this post I will send you something homemade. You can repost this if you want but you don't have to. I got the cutest thing ever! She used strips of paper to make my name with all the little curls and the flower. It looks super complicated! I love it and it matches my room perfectly! Thanks Emily! <3

Title: Beastly
Author: Alex Flinn
I actually read this book in the beginning of the school year and absolutely loved it. What inspired me to write this post was that last night on ET they said they were making a movie out of it that is coming out next summer! I got so excited that I actually requested the book to reread again!
Beastly is a modern day Beauty and the Beast told in the beast's point of view. If you thought you loved Disney's Beauty and the Beast you will love this way more. This book is the sweetest most amazing book ever and you HAVE to read it before the movie comes out! :)

I love making ones that look like polaroid photos
These are just my first practice ones. They are allot of fun to make and I love how they all look!

Girls Camp!

I just got back from my third year at girls camp! It was so much fun! Our theme this year was Women of Worth (wow) and everything was Hawaiian. Just to warn you all of my pictures are totally out of order. No, I did not look even close to this good at camp. This was on the last full day so I decided to straighten my hair (yes I brought my straightener to camp) :)
Kamryn and Rosalie!
This is the end of our ward skit! We did amazing!
Champions Ward's skit! My bestest friends Stefi (birthday girl) and Cne! (ipod girl)
Cne and Tay! They were 4th years so I barley got to see them! :(
Stefi and Me! She was also a fourth year! what a stinker :)
Me and my absolute bestest friend Taylor!!
Our cabin! Aren't the decorations great?
Mommy! She came up on Thursday and stayed over night for the last night
At our girls camp we have an award called the "golden broom" so we all keep our cabins clean. In the history of girls camp Klein Ward has NEVER had the golden broom so this year we worked extra hard... and we won it!!
Kamryn, Me, and Laura at lunch!
Klein ward at lunch! One tradition is that if you have your elbows on the table everyone sings this annoying "get your elbows off the table" song and you have to run a lap around the mess hall, so we took a picture with all our elbows on the table
Taylor and my part in our skit
We went swimming a lot but the last time us 'older' girls didn't want to but we weren't aloud to stay in the cabin alone so we just sat there! (that's me laying down trying to get a tan on a cloudy day) :)

We had an hour of journal writing everyday
On Wednesday I was sick and slept in the cabin all day and on Thursday I got poison ivy! But that's ok! I had so much fun and got a lot of new great friends :)

Last Day of School/ Dance

Our last day of school was last Thursday and I was waiting to do this post so my friends could email me the pictures from the dance. But they haven't yet and I'm tired of waiting, so I only have pictures from the last day of school. Leah and Me! One of my bestest friends since third grade!!

Victoria, Leah, and Me!

Nicole is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met!

Kristen (her hair usually isn't in her face) Me and Fatima! I'm going to miss Fatima so much next year! She is going to Klein Oak High school and I'm going to Klein High school! :(

For 5th, 6th, and 7th periods we had an 8th grade dance! It was super fun and I'm sad I didn't get any pictures. Before the dance was even over all the girls were crying and even a few boys had watery eyes. Half of the school is going to Klein and the other half is going to Oak. Dumb. The saddest part was that this was the last time a bunch of people would see Irene. Irene is one of my absolute best friends and she is moving to Korea this summer! That added a lot of tears on the last day.

Field Day

On the second to last day of school all the eighth graders got to have field day! My group of friends all made matching t-shirts.

On the back of out shirt we had our last name and a number. Then we all signed them. Irene had to put her first name because Timashpolskyi doesn't really fit. :) Irene, Victoria,Brittani, Me, Shelby, Leah
Field day wasn't as fun as we thought, we mainly just stood around and talked, but at least we looked cute!

Girls Night Out

Last weekend we decided that we needed a little girl time. So we had a girls night out party! We played games, watched movies, did nails and facials, ate junk food, and of course talked about boys :)
My friends and I got the downstairs and Melanie and her friends got the upstairs. We had such a great time that we are all ready planning our next one. <3
